Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable students to grasp the terminology used in legal language and to gain the essential strategies to used in different types of legal texts.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • 1. Students will be able to differentiate main types of documents used in law.
  • 2. Students will be able to use the register and terminology used in law.
  • 5. Students will be able to offer solutions to problems encountered in legal translation.
  • Students will be able to translate legal texts from English into Turkish.
  • Students will be able to translate legal texts from Turkish into English.
Course Description In this course, students will get familiar with legal translation, raise their awareness in legal terminology and translate various types of legal texts into target language.
